TO ENROL
To enrol for lessons, please complete and submit our Online Enrolment Form. I'll then confirmed your allocated time slot with you.
HOW IT WORKS
We have 4 terms per year, the same as primary schools and colleges. Once enrolled, your lessons are weekly, on the same day, at the same time (except there are no lessons during school holidays or public holidays). You'll continue at that time slot until otherwise specified. Lessons are generally booked and invoiced for the term (typically in 10 lesson blocks) and you're more than welcome to join at any stage of the term, only paying for that part of the term.
LESSON TYPES
Private and group lessons are available. Private lessons are one on one for 30 mins and group lessons are also 30 mins.
Group lessons are only available if you bring your own group partner. For example, you have a friend that wants to learn as well at the same time or you'd like to book in two siblings. Group lessons have a maximum of three students and all students must be wanting to play the same instrument. Each student must fill out an enrolment form.
I currently teach guitar, drums, bass guitar & ukulele.
TRIAL/CASUAL LESSONS
Horsham Music Tuition offers trial or casual lessons for those wanting to try out music lessons or don't want to commit to a whole term of lessons. These are also a great way to find out if your young child is ready for lessons. Casual lessons are only available if time permits and must be booked and paid for ($45.00) in advance.
COSTS & PAYMENT
Private Lessons - $40.00 per half hour, one on one lesson.
Group Lessons - $30.00 per half hour, group lesson (groups are a max of 3 students).
Invoices for the whole term are issued before the start of every school term via EMAIL ONLY, so please ensure the email address you have provided is correct and regularly checked. Please also check your junk mail folder. Invoices are to be paid in full within 30 days. All lesson fees are strictly non-refundable. New students may require payment upfront for their first term of tuition.
Overdue invoices may incur a $25.00 administration fee and your lessons may be suspended if payment is not received within 30 days. If no attempt at payment has been made towards an invoice within 60 days, Horsham Music Tuition reserves the right to pass your overdue account on to our debt collection agency. You will be liable for all costs incurred until the debt is collected in full (up to 35% in addition to your overdue account), including legal demand and debt collection agency costs.
ABSENCES & MISSED LESSONS
Please let Horsham Music Tuition know about an absence in person, via email, calling, texting or by leaving a message on our answering service before 12pm on the day of your lesson. If we receive late or no notice about an absence, your lesson is forfeited and you are still charged the full price of the lesson.
A third (fourth etc) absence will be considered a “no show”; the lesson is forfeited and you will be charged the full price of the lesson.
If your teacher is ill or away, a catch up lesson will be granted and will be given on top of your two eligible catch up lessons.
In the event your scheduled time slot falls on a public holiday, you are not invoiced for that day and a catch-up lesson will not be granted.
As we stick to a very tight schedule, if you are late for your lesson, your lesson still finishes at the original scheduled time.
CATCH-UP LESSONS
Horsham Music Tuition offers catch-up lessons to students who notify that they are unable to attend their lesson before 12pm on the day of their lesson.
Students are entitled to a MAXIMUM OF TWO catch-up lessons per term. A third, fourth etc absence is considered a “no show” and the lesson is forfeited.
Horsham Music Tuition keeps track of how many catch-up lessons you are entitled to and will arrange your catch-up lesson/s, generally held the first Monday & Tuesday of the school holidays. If convenient, we may also be able to arrange these during the term. School holiday catch-up lessons can only take place on the scheduled dates. Your account also needs to be paid in full by your last lesson of the term to be eligible for any catch up lessons.
Please note; if you are unable to attend your catch-up lessons on the scheduled date and time, your catch-up lessons are forfeited. Catch-up lessons cannot be rolled over, refunded or credited under any circumstances. Catch up lessons will be scheduled the second last week of each term. Catch up lesson dates are here.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you wish to cancel your lessons, you must notify Horsham Music Tuition in writing via email before the next school term commences. Please note; all lesson fees are non-refundable, including lessons scheduled after your cancellation. If you do wish to cancel lessons, inform Horsham Music Tuition during school holidays to avoid being invoiced for the next school term.
Ok - That's the fine print out of the way... let's have fun!
