"Do you guys sell music gear?"
From 2024 we will no longer be selling music gear. We will still stock guitar strings and accessories if you're stuck and need some in a hurry. Book an appointment
"Why aren't you guys open all the time and I have to make an appointment before coming in?"
As we're a music teaching studio, my students are my priority. I'd like for them to learn uninterrupted and I really appreciate you working with us to visit the store outside these learning times. Book an appointment
“How do I go about getting you to come to our school or business to repair our music equipment?”
Please email Tim at horshammusictuition@gmail.com and I'll work with you to achieve a great result and great price for your school or business.
"I need an instrument repaired, can I bring it to you?"
I can repair and service your guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, violin, cello, double bass and many other instruments.
Just be sure to book an appointment with me before coming in.
(Unfortunately I do not offer woodwind, brass or electronic service or repairs....ie amplifiers, keyboards, pedals etc).
TUITION QUESTIONS
"Do you offer music lessons?"
Yes! I run music lessons during school terms and teach Drums, Guitar, Bass & Ukulele. More info here.
"Do you teach in schools?"
I'd love to come teach at your school. Contact us to discuss how we can boost your school's musical program.
"Is there a minimum age to start learning?"
Not really. Generally around 7 or 8 years old is a great time to start lessons. In my extensive experience, it's best to come in and have a trial lesson if your child is younger than this. Let's see if they like it, can concentrate for 30 mins and are comfortable in our environment. We generally know after one lesson if they need to wait a little longer before booking in for lessons or if they're cool to start right away.
"Am I too old to start learning?"
Don't be ridiculous! Let's get started!
"How do group lessons work?"
I do offer group lessons however, it's up to you to find your second group member. This is ideal for siblings, family members and friends wanting to learn at the same time.
"What do we bring to our lessons?"
Please bring your instrument in weekly (not applicable to drummers!) so I can make sure it's tuned and in tip top shape to be learning on. I'll also give you a folder with notes & work that needs to be brought in every week.
"Where are lessons held?"
Lessons are held in my purpose built studio located at 6 Firebrace st, Horsham Vic 3400.
